Where would you like to see a raw cafe in Delray Beach?

Would you prefer downtown, in the East Atlantic Avenue neighborhood (perhaps a side street)? Or would parking be too difficult?

Would you prefer a shopping center with a large parking lot? Or would that be too insipid and boring?

We welcome your comments so we can get a discussion going.

Thanks!

  1. Atlantic Ave real estate is expensive but offers visibility (compare location to SOMA in Lake Worth). A side street would be cheaper but difficult to find.
A strip plaza or shopping would be insipid and boring...

  2. Thanks, Ben!

I agree with you that a downtown location would be much more interesting and fun. It would just be nice if the parking were easier. But maybe it would get enough foot traffic from people strolling around to make it work?
Also, I imagine it would be a destination, a place people would drive to from further away.

  3. Definitely better to be a walkable area - consider pineapple grove if not atlantic. We go to Soma mostly when we're already walking downtown Lake Worth, and I imagine this will be the same way for us.

  4. I'm considering everything. I'd just like to see how much interest there would be for this. So far, no one else is even commenting here except for you. Plus two people e-mailed me.

  5. Find what you can afford and start there. It will be a destination for those seeking it, plus the raw-vegan community here is small and somewhat tightly knit, so people will hear about your new spot quickly. Just be sure to publicize a flier with a map on it! Parking IS a concern. Keep in mind that the general public, your walk-ins on the avenue, mostly have not really heard of raw food at all!
